1- What is the medium of instruction at your university?
The medium of instruction at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences is Turkish.
2- How long is the education period of the programs in your university?
Except for the preparatory class;
- Associate Programs: 2 years
- Undergraduate Programs: 4 years
- Graduate Programs (Master Degree): 2 years
- Doctoral Programs: 4 years
3- What is the maximum education period at your university?
Except for the preparatory class;

4- What are the tuition fees at your university?

5- How can I pay my tuition fee?
Students who are to be registered will be able to pay with temporary ID numbers that will be given to them. Students who registered in the past years can pay with YU Identity Numbers. All students can pay the tuition fee at bank branches or ATMs.
6- Which institutions’ Turkish Language Proficiency test results are accepted in Turkey?
Language Certificate (Turkish according to the language of instruction in your program) Only SADEM (SUBU Turkish Institute) and Yunus Emre Institute certificates are accepted.
7- What are the Turkish language proficiency levels required to start education?
Required levels: B2-C1-C2
Students at B2 level have to increase their level of Turkish language proficiency to at least C1 level before graduation.
(Students who enroll in Undergraduate programs in the 2022-2023 academic year and after must provide C1 level of proficiency in order to move on to the 3rd year.)
8- When is the latest I can submit my Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate?
If you are a new student; you can submit it to Sakarya University of Applied Sciences until the Turkish language proficiency exam date. If you do not submit it, you will be considered on leave for 1 + 1 year.
(If you do not increase your Turkish level to a sufficient level after 1 year, you will be given an additional 1 year. However, this additional period will be deducted from your education period.) At the end of these periods, you have to increase your Turkish language proficiency level to B2 level.
Students who registered in the past years can submit it until the last week of October.
(Students who enroll in Undergraduate programs in the 2022-2023 academic year and after must provide C1 level of proficiency in order to move on to the 3rd year.)
9- What happens if I miss the registration date?
If you do not register during registration period, you will lose your right to register.
10- Where can I get my equivalence certificate?
The equivalence process is regulated domestically by the Provincial Directorates of National Education, and abroad by Office of Education Counselors and Office of Educational Attachés. Applications for Equivalency Certificate can also be made to these institutions. (https://edenklik.meb.gov.tr/)
The equivalence process is carried out with the originals of the documents such as school report, transcript, education document, certificate, leaving certificate and diploma taken from primary and secondary education institutions abroad. However, if the required original documents are missing, you can also use copies approved by the school from which students graduated.
11- Do I have to apostille all my application documents?
All your documents need to be apostille.
12- When can I receive my Student ID Card?
You can pick it up from student affairs 1 month after your registration date on average.
13- Where can I use my Student ID Card?
* At the university entrance and exit
* To eat in the refectory
* To benefit from library services
* You can use it instead of Card 54 in transportation.
14- What should I do if my Student ID Card is lost?
After placing an announcement in a local or national newspaper, you must apply to the identity printing office with the announcement.
15- When can I get a Student Certificate?
You can get it from student affairs 1 day after your registration.
16- What is Foreign Citizenship Identification Number, where can I get it?
Foreign Citizens Identification Number is given to the foreign students who will reside in Turkey more than 90 days.
You can find it in the residence permission document which can be obtained within 90 days after the application for it to Provincial Directorate of Migration Management of the Ministry of Interior.
17- How can I apply for a food scholarship?
You can apply by filling out the scholarship application form distributed on the dates specified by the faculties.
The list of the winners is announced on the Faculty bulletin board.
18- Can international students benefit from exchange programs?
International students can benefit from exchange programs (Mevlana, ERASMUS, Farabi).
19- I want to leave your university, what should I do?
First, you fill in the discharge certificate and the discharge petition in the Directorate of Student Affairs. Then, you submit them to student affairs officer of your program, and you can get back your personal documents.
20- I want to obtain leave of absence (freeze registration) at your university, what can I do?
You can apply for leave of absence to the Faculty before the start of the academic year. You need to submit documents to prove that you have a valid reason e.g. health, military service, financial, family, personal, studying abroad, unexpected compulsory events.
21- When is the latest I can complete the insurance procedures?
It is mandatory to have it done within three months at the latest as of the first registration date. If you do not apply within the first three months, you do not have the right to apply again during your education at our university. However, you can get private insurance.
22- Where can I apply for a residence permit?
You can apply from Sakarya Governorship Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.
23- What are the accommodation opportunities in Sakarya?
You can benefit from the higher education student loans and dormitories institution, university dormitories and private dormitories.
24- What is Card 54, how can I use it?
Card 54 is used as a discount card in city buses. You can use your student card instead of Card 54. You need to go to the Card 54 office in the campus and activate your student card.
25- I am studying at another university. What should I do to study at your university?
First, you must apply to Sakarya University of Applied Sciences. If you gain the right to register, you can cancel your registration from the university you are studying in and register at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences.
26- Can I study in two undergraduate programs at the same time?
You cannot study in two undergraduate programs at the same time. If you wish, you can study in a bachelor's degree program and associate degree program at the same time.
27- When is the punishment for disciplinary action deleted from my registry?
Penalties for disciplinary action are indefinite, therefore not deleted from your registry.
28- How can I change my program?
You must apply to international student quotas again. If you gain the right to register, you can delete your registration from the program you are registered in currently and register to the program you want to study.
29- What happens to the students who do not renew registration?
If you do not renew your registration, you cannot get the benefits of being a student. Students that do not renew their registrations are reported to the authorities (the Police, YTB, etc.).
