Applications for 2025 Exam For Foreign Students For Higher Education in Türkiye (2025-TR-YÖS/1)
2025 Exam For Foreign Students For Higher Education in Türkiye (2025-TR-YÖS/1) will be administered by ÖSYM on May 11, 2025. Applications for the exam will be made between February 13 and March 12, 2025.
Applications for the exam will be accepted between February 13 – March 12, 2025.
Late application opportunities will be provided for students who miss the regular application dates, between March 18 – March 20, 2025.
TR-YÖS will be conducted in 78 centers across 52 countries.
In order to attract more qualified and numerous international students to universities in Türkiye, the Türkiye International Student Admission Exam (TR-YÖS) will be held in six languages across 78 centers in 52 countries.
The exam will be conducted in Turkish, German, Arabic, French, English, and Russian.
State universities will no longer organize their own exams for international student admissions. Instead, they will use the TR-YÖS results or high school diploma scores deemed valid by the Council of Higher Education, such as IB, Abitur, or GCE AL. Foundation (private) higher education institutions will also accept students based on TR-YÖS results. Additionally, the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) will use TR-YÖS for its own student admissions.
Eligibility Criteria for 2025 TR-YÖS
Candidates must meet the following conditions to apply for the 2025 TR-YÖS, provided they are in their final year of high school or have already graduated:
- Foreign nationals,
- Foreign nationals who have renounced Turkish citizenship / blue card holders,
- Dual nationals who were foreign nationals but later acquired Turkish citizenship,
- Turkish citizens who completed their entire high school education at schools abroad (excluding TRNC high schools) or dual nationals with one Turkish nationality who completed their entire high school education abroad,
- TRNC nationals who reside in TRNC and completed their high school education there, holding GCE AL exam results, or those who enrolled in colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005-2010 and obtained or will obtain GCE AL exam results.

The 2025 TR-YÖS/1 will be conducted in 78 centers across the following locations:
Türkiye, TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus), Germany, USA, Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Algeria, Djibouti, Chad, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Morocco, France, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, India, the Netherlands, Iraq, Cameroon, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), North Macedonia, Libya, Malaysia, Mali, Egypt, Mongolia, Moldova, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Jordan, and Greece (in Komotini).
